The Trevi Fountain is a monumental fountain of the eighteenth century; it is the end point of the Virgin Aqueduct, which brings water to Rome from 22 km away. The fountain is a symbol of abundance, power and greatness of Ancient Rome. Legend has it that throwing a coin inside it, with your back turned to the fountain, brings good luck. By launching one you will return to Rome, two coins ensure the encounter with the love of their life, three coins guarantee marriage to a Roman.

The Altar of the Fatherland (Victorian) is a large votive ara dedicated to the Italian nation, houses the statue of the goddess of Rome and, above all, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, an unidentified soldier of the First World War. A perennial flame watches over the grave, keeping alive the memory of these heroes. The monument is located in Piazza Venezia and represents the unity of the village.

The Colosseum is the most important Roman amphitheater and the most impressive monument of ancient Rome. It covers an area of 24000 square meters and could accommodate about 50000 spectators. Also called Flavian Amphitheater, its construction began in 72 BC with Vespasian and ended in 80 with Tito. It hosted the games of the amphitheater: fights between animals (venationes) and fights between gladiators (munera). It could be filled with water for naval battles. It is said that "as long as the Colosseum exists, Rome will also exist; when the Colosseum falls, Rome will also fall; when Rome falls, the world will also fall." It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980, represents one of the greatest successes of Roman engineering and is an icon of world history. The Colosseum is one of the seven wonders of the world.

The Circus Maximus, located in the ancient valley between the Palatine Hill and the Aventino Hill, was the largest sports facility in ancient Rome, able to accommodate up to 250000 spectators. Here were the legendary races of the chariots. It is connected by legend to the origins of the city; here in fact, the rat of the sabines took place. The great fire that devastated Rome in 64 A.D. had its outbreak right in the Circus Maximus, destroying much of the complex.

The Giardino degli Aranci, or Savello park, is a park, characterized by a symmetrical setting with a median avenue in axis with the lookout, of about 8000 square meters, located on the Aventino hill, which takes its name from the characteristic presence of numerous plants of bitter orange trees. The belvedere terrace is the heart of the Orange Garden, and is definitely one of the best views of the entire city.

La Bocca della Verità is a huge marble mask located in the porch of the basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, in the square of the same name. The square corresponds to the ancient Forum Boario, a cattle market in the classical age. It represents a bearded male face with a wide-open mouth; eyes, nose and mouth are perforated and hollow. According to popular tradition, the Mouth of Truth was able to recognize the liars; those who dared to put their hand in their mouths, saying a lie, risked seeing them take it down.

The Sacred Area of Largo Argentina is located in a square of Rome, Largo di Torre Argentina. Famous especially for the Curia of Pompeo, where Julius Caesar was killed at the Ides of March 44 BC. It is an archaeological site where there are the remains of four temples, which represent the largest and most important complex of sacred buildings of the republican age, located in the Campo Marzio, currently visible.

The Pantheon is a temple dedicated to all past, present and future deities, built in 27 BC. Literally it's the "temple of all gods." Today it is a Christian basilica known as Santa Maria ad Martyres. It contains the reinforced concrete dome, not supported, the largest in the world. Famous for the central Oculus (oculus), the only point from which the light enters, which represents the point of conjunction between the sacred interior and the sky, the only place of direct communication between man and the divine sphere.
